Frequently Asked Questions
365PSD.com is a collection of free vector images, logo designs and PSD graphics.
Freebies are a great way to experiment with random new ideas, and as some of them might actually end up being useful to someone we figure aggregating them in one place for the public to access is a good thing.
All of the freebies are distributed as freeware. But some authors requires attribution when you use their images, or some authors disallow commercial usage. So please refer to the license file including in the archive for further information.
For most graphics, you don't need to pay. But a small number of files are licensed as "payment required" if used in commercial occasions.
A vector image is mapped out (mathematically) rather than pixel-based (rastar). Photoshop can make use of both formats, retained as a .psd (photoshop file) ..from memory Macromedia Fireworks also uses both. Alternatively Illustrator or Xara both are almost exclusively Vector-base image tools.
The advantage of vector-based images is that they are infinitely resizable, with blurring - the maths behind the image will automatically reconfigure itself. The downside is that it takes much longer to learn and not so much the organic approach from start to finish ...not as user-friendly.
For vector images and logos, you need Adobe Illustrator or open-source Inscape. For PSD graphics, you will need Adobe Photoshop.
